Whether vegetables, meat, or fish: The Güde Alpha Santoku is the Japanese-inspired all-purpose knife for every kitchen. It has everything that ambitious home cooks and professionals appreciate – lightweight, slim, and perfectly balanced. With a blade length of approximately 18 cm and a total weight of just 190 grams, it sits comfortably in the hand and ensures precise work at the cutting board.

Tradition meets craftsmanship – made in Solingen

Each Santoku in the Alpha series is crafted in over 55 steps in the Güde factory – forged, ground, hardened, and finished by hand. The chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel used has a hardness of approximately 56 HRC – robust enough for tough ingredients, yet flexible enough for precise cutting.

Stable, easy-care, durable

The finely polished Hostaform plastic handle is not only durable and hygienic—it also sits securely in the hand. Stainless steel and aluminum rivets permanently connect the blade and handle. The result: an extremely durable, high-quality knife from Solingen that looks great in any kitchen.

Product Safety Description

This knife is crafted according to a typical Japanese blade shape. The Santoku is something like the classic chef's knife in Japanese cuisine, a basic tool for many tasks in our kitchens. Unlike the chef's knife, it is lighter, somewhat slimmer, and usually shorter, making it more elegant to many cooks. It is gaining increasing popularity in the sophisticated kitchens of Germany.
