The Santoku – the Japanese all-purpose weapon in your kitchen

The Kai Wasabi Black Santoku is the kitchen knife you won't want to be without. With its 16.5 cm blade length, it's the Japanese answer to our classic chef's knife – an absolute kitchen favorite in Japan and increasingly popular here as well.

Robust blade made of new 6A/1K6 steel

The sharp, polished blade is made of corrosion-resistant 6A/1K6 steel with a hardness of 56 (±1) HRC , ensuring a long-lasting edge. Whether double-edged or with a traditional single-edge grind, the series offers you the highest precision. The slightly curved blade spine makes handling extremely secure and even facilitates delicate rocking movements while cutting.

Ergonomic handle with bamboo powder for natural grip

The matte black plastic handle is not only water-resistant and robust, but also feels pleasantly natural thanks to the addition of bamboo powder . The oval or chestnut-shaped shape (depending on the blade size) fits perfectly in your hand. Cleverly, the handle completely encloses the tang, making the connection to the blade particularly stable and preventing dirt from escaping.
