Our sharkskin wasabi graters are ideal for grating wasabi or horseradish. A fresh piece of wasabi root has a very neutral flavor – only with the right grater and perfect technique does the delicious, aromatic wasabi paste develop. The distinctive aroma arises from the cells being destroyed when the wasabi is rubbed against the sharkskin. The Rokyu XXL wasabi grater is made of fine rosewood and is handcrafted to a high standard. The grater, including the handle, is 26 cm long. The grating surface measures 14.5 x 10.5 cm. The tanned sharkskin is additionally attached to the board with rivets, giving it a traditional look.
